I started out in hospitality. Long shifts, other people's money, and a simple rule: the boring things done right, every single time, are what the whole night depends on. That turned out to be the most useful trading lesson I ever got, years before I placed a trade.

Later I worked in marketing for a trading company. My job was, bluntly, to understand how trading gets sold. It's a good education: you learn exactly which promises move product, and exactly why they're promises.

Then I moved to the other side of the glass, as a trading analyst. Different job, opposite lesson: what actually survives contact with real markets is small, boring, and repeatable. Almost none of it looks like the marketing.

Everything I publish lives in the gap between those educations. Systems over signals. Rules you can audit in your own journal. And no promises, which, if you've read this far, you already know is the point.
